Welcome,
Today's project uses the Flap Book blank to create our cards. The ends are cut off at a diagonal to create this fun fold. The paper used for this project is from our Love It! paper line.
This is the piece of cardstock I used to decorate the card. This is decorated on both sides. The Pink dots, Orange dots and Green dots are on the other side of the cardstock.
This is what the flap book blank looks like before cutting the ends off.

Insert your flap blank into your paper cutter. Cut the flaps off by alinging your paper from the center fold to the outside corner. After aligned cut. Save the cut off pieces for later. The 6" flap will be on your left and the 5" flap will be on your right when making card.
Cut the stripe piece of cardstock to 5- 7/8" x 5- 7/8".
Adhere to center of card. Apply red line tape to bottom edge as shown. Before closing shut, punch holes for ribbon to be tied through. See finished card below for placement.
Use cut off diagonal pieces for pattern. Make sure that triangle is the same direction of card before cutting decorative paper.
To make the diagonal pieces for front of card, place pattern under decorative paper leaving a border showing approx 1/4". This will give you a nice mat around the paper and cut the paper at the proper angle. Align the pattern along the cutting line on your paper cutter. Cut decorative paper. (The left and right pieces are different sizes. Be sure to use correct pattern when cutting.)
Cut pink card insert 5 - 3/4" high x 5- 5/8" wide. Attach tab or message to insert. Attach ribbon to card. Finish with any other accents you like.
Hope you enjoyed this project. Pinecone Press
